For me, singing is a way of connecting deeply with ourselves and each other. No matter what happens in life, music can sing us home.

As a singer and musician, my passion for learning and exploring has taken me all over the world. I started by singing made up songs to our sheep when I was a child. Singing was so natural, like breathing! As a teenager, I launched into classical voice training, performing arias in Italian, German, Spanish, and French. I loved the feeling of expressing myself in other languages. I eventually jumped into the jazz world, learning to sound more like a clear horn. My unwavering love for exploring different sounds, textures, rhythms and spiritual approaches to music has inspired me to learn songs, styles, and genres from around the world.

Finding my own voice.

I loved learning all kinds of music but also yearned to find my own voice beyond the confines of any particular genre. Meeting Rhiannon in 2010 blew this door wide open for me. Studying vocal improvisation with her over the past decade has forever changed me, my singing, and my approach to music. She helped me discover the wild expanse of my own authentic singing voice as well as build my skills in improvisation and circle singing. I now teach her Vocal River curriculum as well as perform vocal improvisation concerts.

I will become a certified teacher of the Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen as of June. As Europe’s largest institute for pro and semi-pro singers, I am now trained in their pedagogy for healthy vocal technique across all genres.

Music is home.
